Sara Griffin grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio, riding horses professionally. She began her yoga practice in 1997 and describes the practice she has cultivated as a comprehensive mind/body medicine that heals, with unconditional love.
A natural student with boundless curiosity, Sara took a 200-hour teacher training, which quickly led into the next, 400-hours Baptiste/HIIT power vinyasa and Restorative/Yin. She is currently working on a certification in Yoga Medics, which is a therapy-based practice to create a deeper, more therapeutic setting in the studio.
Yogis can expect to feel in her class. Sara practices cultivating Pratayahara (study of self), to know the true self, with her students. She leads through a series of challenging poses and sequences that flow with breath, building an internal fire—her class combines a series of twists, balances, and grounding poses to detox and energize.
POSE SHE IS GRATEFUL FOR
Tadasana (mountain pose): For the way it helps her to fully engage and align, activating the body's energy.
