Melissa first found herself in the yoga world as a student of yoga in San Diego, California and later as a desk yogi/studio manager at an east side yoga studio in Cleveland, Ohio. Fully immersed in yoga, she took the next step in her career and completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2009 with OM Yoga. Inspired by the physical and spiritual benefits of the practice, as well as her teachers, she then went on to complete her 500 hour training in 2011.
Along her journey, Melissa has always embraced the mind-body balance and healing approach that yoga brings. In her classes, she reminds students to slow down, be still and find the quiet that sometimes is not always present in life. She encourages others to find the connection between their everyday lives and life on the mat, becoming more self-aware and observant.
With a Buddhist influence, Melissa’s vinyasa style classes are focused on balancing the body, mind, and breath with alignment, while continuing to find challenge in the practice. As a Massage Practitioner, her background and passion in physical and mental wellness carries through in her classes, allowing those that practice with her to pause, tuning into each breath and moment.
