Explore the benefits of prenatal yoga


Practicing prenatal yoga while pregnant is a fantastic way to connect with yourself and your baby, relieve stress and keep fit. Whether you are new to yoga or already a practitioner, you can easily and comfortably enjoy the benefits of yoga while pregnant. Practicing yoga can relieve sciatica, leg cramps, neck pain, increase your breath capacity and so much more! You'll create community and support and appreciate the company and camaraderie of other pregnant women. Poses are modified according to what trimester you are in and how long you have been practicing yoga. Your mantra should be, 'be guided by your comfort.' Listen to your body. The first three months of pregnancy are a time of major changes in your body.

Long before any outward manifestation and growth begins to get in the way of doing poses, your body feels different on the inside. This is the challenge of first trimester yoga. But this is also the challenge that is at the core of any yoga practice: listening to your body. You may think you know yourself and what your body can do, but on any given day you have to really tune in and respect the cues your body gives you. Taking the attitude that your body knows best and will guide you is the best way to prepare for childbirth.
